“ Enjoyed a good meal at Sahara Taste of the Middle East. We ordered the chicken shawarma combination on pita bread which came with fries and a drink and the 4 side sampler with beet salad, tabouli, baba ganoush, and humus. We received a number and picked our seat. Overall, a very clean and efficient establishment. We got our food after only waiting 10 minutes or so. The sampler came with pita and was a lot of food, all had good flavor. The chicken shawarma was pretty good, but a little dry for our liking. Overall, we'd come back to try different items off the menu, but wouldn't get the same items we got last time. ”

“ This restaurant serves up some outRAGEOUSLY delicious Middle Eastern food. Everything is fresh, fresh, fresh. They have a bunch of different types of freshly-prepared hummus and if you don't try at least one of them, there's something seriously wrong with you. I only tried the regular one and it was fantastic. I licked my dish and I am proud to admit it. The chicken shawarma is slightly better than the beef shawarma but just barely. Both are heavily seasoned and the aromas from the food is heavenly. The beef was a little dry but they have a number of sauces (self-serve) which solve that issue easily. Even the rice is terrific and is made with golden raisins and sliced almonds (I think). The pita triangles are all freshly-made. The staff was friendly and the interior of the restaurant was attractive and spotless. There's plenty of free parking in the lot. You order at the counter and then they bring you your food. You have no excuses not to try this wonderful food. You can tell they care about their food here. ”
“ Walking inside you're shocked! It's vibrant and full of energy! Seems like a community hub staffed by those who've grown up with this restaurant. I started us with the potato chop to see what it was. A bit small to split but enough for the 3 of us to enjoy it. Beef with potato reminded me of a knish! I had the chicken tikka bowl without rice , mom had the sandwich version. We both agreed that there wasn't enough chicken, but the chicken that we had was very tasty and moist. My bowl came with two sides so I chose the hummus pomegranate pistachio, which was delicious. And, I got the baba ghanoush, which was OK. Both were very authentic. Mom enjoyed her sandwich and it seemed to be just the right amount to her despite being short on chicken. Also, she was expecting more of a pita than a flatbread sandwich. But all in all she really enjoyed it.she had the middle eastern hot tea but it seemed regular. Dad had the Shawarma plate. Well if you follow me, you know, he's the tough customer out of the three of us. The other challenge is, Middle Eastern food is not exactly his cup of tea. It wasn't quite what he was expecting or used to. He had a lot left over to bring home. Overall, two out of three of us were pleased. I'm not sure we will return as a family but it is a place I can recommend to others.. ”
